NEW EHV-1 HORSE SHOW PROTOCOL
In response to the resurgence of EHV-1 in the United States, we will be taking these additional precautions for our horse shows
Horses that have been shipped into the tri-state area since February 15th are asked to have temperatures monitored for a week prior to competing at Fairfield
Prior to unloading, you must provide:
- Negative Coggins
- Health Cert that was issued within 30 days
- Proof of vaccinations within 6 months
We will continue to monitor the EHV-1 situation closely. Please check back frequently for updates.

The Fairfield County Hunt Club hosts monthly rates shows, which are recognized by the US Equestrian Federation (USEF), New England Horsemen's Council (NEHC), and the Connecticut Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA). Although the shows have different ratings, they all offer equitation and hunter classes for all skill levels.
Summer schooling shows allow riders who are just learning, as well as those who want to fine-tune their skills, to get valuable showing experience in a less formal atmosphere.
