The Fairfield County Hunt Club is home to a number of nationally recognized equestrian events throughout the year.
June Benefit Show
The June Benefit Horse Show is the largest and most celebrated equestrian event held at the Fairfield County Hunt Club. It has earned the distinction of one of the most beautiful and prestigious shows in the country and attracts world class riders. The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) voted the Fairfield June Show the Member's Choice Horse Show for Zone 1 for the third year in a row in 2015. The show is also recognized as a Heritage Competition by the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) - the highest honor that can be bestowed on a horse show - a distinction reserved for horse shows not only dedicated to technical excellence but also philanthropy and community involvement. The 2019 show will be held June 18th through June 22nd.
Fairfield August Show
The Fairfield August Show includes the Connecticut Hunter Jumper Association Finals. Qualified riders from around the state compete for the top ten spots in their divisions. This is a great opportunity to see top riders on the Club grounds.
The Fairfield County Hunt Club hosts monthly rates shows, which are recognized by the US Equestrian Federation (USEF), New England Horsemen's Council (NEHC), and the Connecticut Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA). Although the shows have different ratings, they all offer equitation and hunter classes for all skill levels.
Summer schooling shows allow riders who are just learning, as well as those who want to fine-tune their skills, to get valuable showing experience in a less formal atmosphere.
